Welcome
to 2009 Swim season.
Dear
Hackettstown Hurricane
Families,
Welcome new members and welcome back our seasoned swimmers. We’re
looking forward to another awesome swim season together.
The
Hackettstown Swim Team has been in existence for over 30 years. Our
goal as a parent run organization is to foster your child's love for
the sport, in a friendly competitive environment. We hope that your
child improves their swimming skills this year, builds their self
confidence by being rewarded for achieving their personal best and
learns the importance of good sportsmanship.
We will be swimming as 1
team in 2 leagues again this year. We will swim in the Penn Jersey
(West) League and the Morris County (East) Summer Swim League.
Although swimmers choose one of these two leagues to swim in, we will
always practice together as one team and go to the Northwest
Invitational Meet together.
We are excited to welcome our coaches back
this year.; Head Coach Kelly Hart, Assistant Coach Heather Smith and
Assistant Coach Carly Antonucci. Their dedication and enthusiasm are
sure to lead us through another great season.

Eligibility
Eligible
participants are children aged 4 to 18 years old. There are no tryouts
to join the team;
however, all participants must be able to comfortably and safely swim
the length of the pool. If the coach deems that your child is not ready
for the swim team at this time you will be asked to leave the team and
try again next year. Unfortunately if this occurs we are unable to give
refunds for any
reason.
Our
coaches are not available to teach individual
beginner swim lessons during our practices.
Due to liability
issues, no swimmers will
be allowed in the water until they joined the pool and registered with
the
Team.
Fees
The
Hackettstown
Hurricanes Swim Team is funded through registration
fees, donations, sponsorships, and sales. The fees for the entire 2009
season are:

Individual
photos will begin at 9am and the team photo will be taken at
10:15am. Please have your child in their team
swimsuit.
Apparel
A swim team t-shirt
will be available for sale at cost
to the swimmers.
Please take care when ordering your child's shirt size;
there will be NO EXCHANGES. Additional shirts can be ordered
at the
time of registration at a cost of $10.00 each(child's size)
or $15.00 each (adult's size).
Team swim suits and goggles can be purchased on site at registration
from A&H Sporting Goods.. If after this time you need
